Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Book Review!!

     Hey guys! It's Emma! Today I have a book review on Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling. This book follows Harry as he starts his second year at Hogwarts with his best friends Hermione and Ron. However, at the start of the year, weird things start happening at Hogwarts. A new horror haunts Hogwarts and turns people to stone. Who could possibly be controlling this monster? Can the school recover from these attacks?
     First, I absolutely loved these characters. One thing I liked about the characters in ths book is you can see how the have matured since the last book. In the last book, I found Harry to be a little immature at some points and that annoyed me. However, in this book, I can see how he has grown since the last book and I really liked seeing that. If you didn't read my review on the first book, Hermione was my favorite character of that book and that didn't change in this book. Her personality makes laugh every time because she literally acts like me. One character that we are introduced to more in this book is Ginny Weasley. Ginny is Ron's younger sister and she has such a massive crush on Harry. I found her character so amusing in this book because of that fact. However, I did like how she added another female main or supporting character, which I think the series needed.
     The plot of this book was amazing. The plot was a little darker than the one before, but I think it worked. Some aspects like introducing one of the Horcruxes J.K. Rowling did so great with by helping set up and introducing important parts of the later books. I loved this story so much. The way J.K. Rowling wrote the plot was wonderful. The pacing wasn't too fast or too slow. I wasn't bored or confused. The plot sucked me in and I didn't want to put it down.
     Overall, I gave this book a 5 out of 5 stars. Last time I read this series, this book was my favorite and it definitely lived up to my expectations for it. The world was so much fun and made you wish you could jump on the train to Hogwarts with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. I highly recommend this series to everyone. This such an amazing story that everyone should read and enjoy.
