September Wrap Up and October TBR

Hey guys! It's Emma! Today, I have my September Wrap Up and October TBR for you guys. This month has been a really good reading month for me. I read 6 books in September and usually I only read 2. For that alone, I'm pretty happy with my reading from last month. Let's get started.
The first book I read was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling. I read this book at the beginning of the month and it was so much fun. I love the Harry Potter series so I'm very excited to be rereading the series this fall. I gave this book a 5 out of 5 stars and I did a review on it earlier this month so check that out if you want to see more of my opinions.
The second book I read was Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling. As I just said, I'm rereading the series so I finished the first book and went on to the next one. I really enjoyed this book. For some reason, Chamber of Secrets has always been my favorite of the entire series. I don't really know why, but it has. So, I was really happy to get to this book last month. I gave this book a 5 out of 5 stars and also did a review on it. Check that out for more of my opinion on the book.
The third book I read in September was The Scarlet Thread by D.S. Murphy. I didn't like this book very much. I found it hard to connect with any of the characters because most of them annoyed me. The writing was really hard to follow and the plot wasn't explained very well so I was confused about what was happening half the time. The only thing that I was remotely interested in was the main romance. However, since this is the first book in a series, there wasn't much of it in this book. Overall, I gave this book a 1 out of 5 stars. (I think that's the first time I've ever gave that rating.)
The fourth book I read was Sinful Cinderella by Anita Valle. I thought this book was okay. I liked the whole evil Cinderella spin and how they turned her character into something dark. However, I thought that the plot was a little too dramatic for me. There were some parts where her character blew somethings way out of proportion when they didn't need to be. Overall, I gave this book a 3 out of 5 stars.
The fifth book I read was Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon. I really liked this book and the main characters. I absolutely loved Maddie and her little quirky interests. I loved this book... until I got to the end. *UGH* The ending of this book disappointed me so much. I just didn't like it at all and that made me so sad because it was amazing. It just seemed way too dramatic to be real. Overall, I gave this book a 4 out of 5 stars.
The last book I read was Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen. Oh my Lord, I loved this book SO much. The writing and story were beautiful. The plot pulled me in and I didn't want to stop reading it. The characters were probably my favorite part of this book. They were written amazingly. Every character was so unique and intricate in their personalities and interests. Overall, I gave this book a 5 out of 5 stars and I will be posting a full review on this book later this week.
Now it's time for the TBR part of this post. In October, I plan 3 books, but two of them are longer books so that's why the number is lower than usual. The first book I plan to read is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling. This is the third book in the Harry Potter series and follows Harry through his third year at Hogwarts. I have already started this book and am about a third of the way through it so hopefully I will finish it soon.
The second book I plan to read is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling. This is the fourth book in Harry Potter series and it follows Harry during his fourth year at Hogwarts while he is dealing with Triwizard Tournament. Since I'm rereading the series, I'm picking up this one next.
The third book I plan to read is The Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry. I don't really know that much about this book and I kind of want to go into it blindly. I have to read this book for my Literature class next semester along with another book, but this one just happens to be like 1,000 pages long so I figured I would start it now.
You have finally made it to the end of this super long post. I didn't realize how long this would be until I started writing it so I'm sorry about that. However, I came a little closer to catching up on my Goodreads goal with all those books so YAY!! I know this is like a week late, but I was on vacation last week and wasn't able to post. That is all I have for you guys today. I will talk to you guys later! Bye!
