P.S. I Like You by Kasie West Book Review!!
Hey guys! It's Emma! Today, I have a book review on P.S. I Like You by Kasie West for you guys. This book follows Lily as she starts exchanging letters anonymously in her chemistry class. What starts as continuing song lyrics on her desk turns into sharing secrets and opening up to each other. Can Lily piece together who this mystery person is or does she even want to find out?
First, I loved the two main characters in this book. I thought Lily was so sassy and relatable. Her family was absolutely hilarious and their dynamic is very similar to mine. I think one of my favorite parts of this book was the relationship that Lily had with her friends and family. Lily and Isabelle, her best friend, had that relationship that made you automatically think, "That is totally me and my BFF." The main guy, Cade, was very adorable. At the beginnimg, I didn't like him that much, but that was kind of the point. However, as we got to know him, I loved him and his personality so much.
The plot was very interesting. I really liked the anonymous letters twist in the story. All of the excitement about who the writer was amused me. I think Kasie West did a great job of writing a plot, that had many aspects seen a lot in YA, in a fresh way. I didn't feel like I had read this book before. Instead, I found myself enjoying the light, fun plot with its letters and awkward moments.
Overall, I fave this book a 5 out of 5 stars. I really enjoyed this book and I thought it was the perfect book to help transition back into school. The characters and their banter made this an amusing read. I read The Fill-in Boyfriend by her two years ago and loved it. So, this book reminds why I love Kasie West's book and writing so much. I would definitely recommend this book to people who love YA contemporary.
That is all I have for you guys! I hope you guys enjoyed this book review. Comment below what you are currently reading because I'm a nosy person who likes to know what other people are reading. Anyways, I will talk to you guys later! Bye!
